Of all my boat projects, this one has been the most fun to use. It is my first sail boat and is an excellent craft to learn sailing. It is so stable, with two people in it that I have actually stood on the deck, hanging on to the mast, while sailing. I used exterior grade AC plywood and epoxy. I used 'glass cloth only on the bottom flat section to resist abrasion. The spars are Douglas fir. I found that the boom and gaff jaws needed to be made of heavier stock other than the 1/2 inch plywood I first used. The floor boards are oak, salvaged from pallet boards and the tiller is maple from a remodeling project. The seat is a piece of AC plywood with mahogany stain and three coats of Epifanes wood finish.
